Interested in media arts? Apply to MCM’s Media Lab, an in-person, 5-week workshop where pre-teens and teens (ages 12-17) will produce their own documentary films & radio shows in our studio.
To apply, please complete our Google Form questionnaire. Applicants will receive an admissions email in late-June. We accept up to eight (8) students for this program.

about the program
This is a free media training program for youth ages 12 to 17.
Participants will receive one-on-one mentorship with lead instructors in film and radio broadcasting.
There are two tracks:
Documentary Film
Radio Broadcasting / Podcasting
Documentary Film Students will learn how to use iPhone Film Kits to develop short films (2-5 minutes), with an emphasis on “identity” and “place”.
Radio /Podcast Students will gain hands-on training in our Radio Production Studio. They will develop a radio segment (60 minutes) that will air on our community radio station, Rewind 94.3.
Students will have the opportunity to mentor with media industry professionals.
All projects will premiere at the MCCC Meyer Theater on September 24, 2026.
