The Big Gig (2025)

Part 1 of a 3-part series documenting the 38th Year of the Monroe County Library System’s Annual Black History Month Blues Series.

This night was the annual blues music concert, The Big Gig! It showcased a variety of blues styles that influenced American roots music in the 1950s, 1960s, and beyond.

Rev. Robert B. Jones served as the master of ceremonies and opened with a set of acoustic country blues coming out of the South.
